Like the OP I discover that the VI editor software (which is supposed to be included) is not yet available. I have just taken delivery of a brand new VI25, which I purchased with the intention of using it to control other midi hardware for a live production taking place very soon. Please advise the powers that be at Alesis that they are currently delivering product that is not fit for purpose, and please publish the date when the editor software is going to be released. Unless the editor software is going to be made available within the next 7 days I will have no option but to return the unit for a refund and instead purchase a product that actually does what its supposed to do, instead of this chocolate teapot.
Without this software none of the buttons or controls can be configured, so the unit is totally useless, at least for live use.
